PENG! PENG! BOATENG!
A city, three lives, three paths – The story of the Boateng half-brothers, three young people with the same last name and the same passion: football.
"Peng! Peng! Boateng!"—based on the book by Michael Horeni, "Die Brüder Boateng. Drei deutsche Leben zwischen Wedding und Weltfußball" (The Boateng Brothers: Three German Lives Between Wedding and World Football)—tells an accessible and fascinating story about the randomness of life and the shared enjoyment of music that the father passed on to his sons.
In 2017, "Peng! Peng! Boateng!" was awarded the Ikarus Prize for outstanding theater for children and young people. The production impressed the eight-member jury with its authentic and captivating narrative style, as well as choreography that translates the physicality of breaking into the world of football.
