SYMPHONIX

Dancers from the realms of Hip Hop and Contemporary converge with a classical Philharmonic Orchestra, mutually inspired by the Hip Hop sound of the 1970s. "SYMPHONIX" brings the live breakbeat back to the stage, recalling the invigorating, heated, and exuberant atmosphere, scratching, and the early drum computers. In his second symphony, Dresden-born composer Karsten Gundermann builds a musical bridge between the aesthetics of classical music and the rebellious youth subculture, culminating in Symphonic Hip Hop.
